Enable notifications about new Topics and Posts

RealThinClient Forums have the option to send all registered users E-Mail notifications when there are new Topics, but you need to enable notifications to get them. The same rules apply to Topics replies. In other words ...

If you wish to be notified automatically by E-Mail when a new topic is posted on a Board which you would like to actively monitor, go to that Board and click the "NOTIFY" button there. A short pop-up window will ask you if you want to enable notifications for this Board. If you confirm this, when ever there is a new Topic started inside this particular Board, you will get an E-Mail to notify you about that new Topic.

If you are interested in a Topic and would like to get notified about replies to a specific Topic (for example, you ask a question and want to be notified automatically by E-Mail if anyone posts a reply), open that Topic and click the NOTIFY button for the Topic. Same as with notifications for new Board Topics, a pop-up window will ask you if you want to enable notifications for this Topic. If you confirm this, when ever there is a Reply posted inside this particular Topic, you will get an E-Mail to notify you about that new Reply.

If you are no longer interested in receiving notifications, you can un-subscribe from notifications by using the exact same button. The button looks the same, but the pop-up window will ask you if you want to DISABLE notifications for that specific Board/Topic.

You can also see a complete list of Boards and Topics you have subscribed yourself to be notified about new Topics/Posts in your Profile, from where you can also disable automated notifications for any Board/Topic you are no longer interested in.

Automated E-Mail notifications will make the use of the RealThinClient Forums a lot easier, because (if user properly) you will no longer need to be logged in to the Forums and visit the Forums regularly just to stay informed or to wait for a reply on your question(s).
