RTC Gateway and Gate Client components implement full bi-directional streaming over HTTP, which requires 2 (two) connections per Gate Client. One connection is used for sending, the other connection is used for receiving data.

This is why you will see 4 connecitons on the Gateway when 2 RTC Gate Clients are connected.

If you close one of the RTC Gate Clients, you will see the number of connections on the Gateway going down by 2.
